The Carswell Condo Association is a collective of 17 units and its owners, working to keep our building safe, clean, and a wonderful place to live in Adams Morgan in Washington, DC.
The Carswell Condo Board oversees management of many basic services.

Dr. Robert Mckernan (or Rob as we know him) is a staff dentist at Whitman-Walker Health here in Washington, DC. He also owns his own dental practice, BGS Dental and works hard for health care equality. He enjoys training for IronMan races and spending time with his partner and dog.
Lee Farmer is an urban planner who has lived in the DC area since 2004. She works for a consulting firm and focuses on public transit projects. Lee has actually lived at the Carswell twice - first as a renter from 2009 to 2012, and then as an owner since 2016. It's just that great! She loves living in Adams Morgan and exploring DC and the surrounding area.
Leigh Carter currently provides consulting services for The University of Fondwa Haiti/USA supporting
accounting, non-profit best practices, social media and communications. Leigh holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree from Samford University in Accounting/Business Administration and a Master’s degree in
Political Science from the University of Nor
Leigh Carter currently provides consulting services for The University of Fondwa Haiti/USA supporting
accounting, non-profit best practices, social media and communications. Leigh holds a Bachelor of
Arts degree from Samford University in Accounting/Business Administration and a Master’s degree in
Political Science from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Leigh’s career spanned work as
Director of Finance and Executive Director of Witness for Peace (an organizations focused on a just U.S.
foreign policy in Central/South America and the Caribbean), Program Director at the Washington Office
on Haiti, and Founder/CEO of Fonkoze USA. At Fonkoze USA, Leigh worked alongside Father Joseph
Philippe, Anne Hastings, and many others to build Fonkoze from 2 volunteer employees to almost 900
full-time employees, 46 branches throughout rural Haiti, with over 275,000 clients, more than 60,000 of
whom had microcredit loans. Fonkoze is now Haiti's largest microfinance and poverty alleviation
institution. Currently, Leigh is principle of a non-profit consulting business, Virtual Bourik, LLC. Leigh is
currently Board Member Emerita of Fonkoze USA, Board member of Beyond Borders Haiti, Board
member of the Carswell Condominium Association, and co-leader of the Foundry United Methodist
Church Care Ministry.
Liz Mckernan is a journalist who fell in love with the DMV and feels lucky to call it her home. She enjoys biking the trails in the area and living close to family.
